The Community Guidelines help us make Ever Lasting an open and safe place for everyone, and foster a friendly and engaged community.

These Community Guidelines are designed to ensure everyone enjoys a positive experience when giving and receiving second-hand items.
Safety
We maintain high safety standards for both people and the platform.
For greater safety, we advise against:
- sharing private information (full names, phone numbers, banking details) when interacting with other members or in review comments;
- responding to spam or phishing emails about your Ever Lasting account;
- sharing photos of yourself or others wearing a donated item if faces are visible;
- moving conversations outside the Ever Lasting platform – we recommend using only our secure messaging system.
Before giving or receiving an item, check the User Barometer: it shows members’ activity and reviews, so you know what to expect.
Note:
Be cautious with suspicious links or premium-rate numbers (e.g., if a member insists on sending you a screenshot via SMS or email).
If someone sends you phishing attempts, insults, harasses, or intimidates you by persistently asking for private information or photos, report them immediately.
Hate Speech and Discrimination
Your safety when interacting with others is one of our top priorities.
Ever Lasting welcomes people from all backgrounds: everyone should be able to interact freely and respectfully.
Hate speech or discriminatory behavior has no place on our platform. This includes, but is not limited to, discrimination based on:
- race or ethnicity,
- nationality,
- disability,
- religion or religious affiliation,
- caste,
- sexual orientation,
- sex,
- gender identity,
- illness.
Any member who violates these rules may have their account temporarily or permanently blocked.
Please immediately report any inappropriate activity (insulting comments, harassment, phishing attempts, etc.). We will investigate and take the necessary action.
We also prohibit any support, promotion, or glorification of terrorism, organized violence, or hate groups. Any content related to such activities will be removed.
Sexual Exploitation and Nudity
We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding sexual content or behavior.
- No vulgarity, pornography, or obscenity.
- No sexual messages sent to other members.
- No nudity or sexual images in private messages.
Child sexual abuse material and the promotion of sexual acts are strictly prohibited by law: any such content will be removed and reported.
Private Messages
Private messages are intended only for exchanging information about items.
Strictly prohibited:
- violent, hateful, racist, extremist, sexist, discriminatory, or pornographic messages;
- sexual or obscene messages;
- messages describing or encouraging illegal acts, including drug-related activities;
- links to pages containing such content.
Messages must always be respectful. Any indecent or illegal content will be removed.
If you receive an inappropriate message (spam, threats, offensive content), report it immediately.
Prohibited Items
Our goal is to keep members safe when giving or collecting items.
We encourage everyone to:
- check the list of prohibited items in the Catalogue Rules and ensure their listings comply;
- report donors, including professionals, who post prohibited items;
- report any inappropriate behavior from a recipient (e.g., repeated disrespect towards the community).
We may remove any non-compliant item, even if it’s not explicitly listed in the catalogue, if it poses a risk to users.
